Ewa Romanowicz
Ewa Anderson (Romanowicz) was born in Warsaw, Poland. As a child, her mother Bozena -- also a selftaught artist -- recognized and encouraged her artistic talents. Due to the economic situation in Poland after the fall of communism, she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1996, initially settling in Mississauga, Ontario.
In 2002, she started to develop as a local artist, participating in the Fine Arts Society of Milton and practicing her skills with pencil and acrylic. Her works focus mainly on flora, fauna, and architectural motifs. Staying true to her roots, many of Ewa's works cover the centuries old architecture of Poland. In 2008, she received a "Best in Show" award from the Milton Arts Festival for her acrylic, "In the Shade". Later she also discovered her love of photography and now dedicates much of her free time to developing her photography skills.
Since 2013 Ewa is a member of Mississauga Festival Choir.
She is an alumnus of York University in Toronto and McMaster University in Hamilton.
In 2022 Ewa has published her debut book Sabanto - The Crimson River
