"An Old Street"

This street was built around 16th century, and was first mentioned in 1743 as a street with no name. This street has lead to the fortifications that in this spot had probably a gate or a tower. The length of this street is about 43 meters and it is about 5 meters wide. The name "An Old Street" (a translation from "Dawna") it received in 1772. The buildings were destroyed during Warsaw Uprising in 1944 and reconstructed with attention to detail during years 1958-60. |
