In recognition of its cultural and historical significance, Old Quebec was placed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1985. It is the only North American urban site to earn this honor. In the Lower Town of Old Quebec city there is the Petit Champlain District, the oldest commercial area in North America, where the city offers a variety of attractions, such as boutiques, craft shops, sidewalk cafes and fine restaurants. In 2008 Quebec city celebrated 400 years. |
"Sainte Anne"
FOR SALE Medium: Acrylic on canvas Size: 20x24 Price: Framed: $500 The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré is a basilica set along the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec, 30 kilometers east of Quebec City. The first reported miracle at the site happened during the shrine’s construction. A man named Louis Guimond was hired to help build the shrine even though he suffered from rheumatism. After placing three stones upon the shrine’s foundation, Guimond was cured of all his ailments. The first basilica was destroyed in a fire on March 29, 1922. The present-day basilica was built on the site of the prior church in 1926. |

The church has a roman architectural style and has the appearance of a fortification. However, the inside currently has a Baroque look. Recently, fragments of old mural paintings have been found. |
"Under The Columns"
FOR SALE Medium: Acrylic on canvas Size: 12x16 Price: Framed: $250 Fragment of an old bathhouse for powerful aristocrats , built on an islet in the middle of a lake by Tylman van Gameren. It was completely remodelled by Domenico Merlini between 1764 and 1795 to fulfil King Stanislaw August Poniatowski's need for a private residence where he could relax. The palace is built on an artificial island that divides the lake into two parts. The façades are unified by an entablature carried by a giant Corinthian order of pilasters that links its two floors and is crowned by a balustrade that bears statues of mythological figures. The north façade is relieved by a central pedimented portico. On the south front a deep central recess lies behind a screen of the Corinthian order carried across its front. |

Visited every year by millions from around the world. This painting was done for a silent auction in March during the "Heart to Hand" show in Milton. Proceeds from the Sale were used to purchase display stands for Fine Arts Society of Milton (FASM). |
